I have always been obsessed with reusing great, old things. At least I thought the old things were great. :) {One of my first picker memories was when I was about 12. We rummaged an old house that had burned down many years prior and saved many "great" pieces. We made a little play house set up using these treasures. Really they were nothings, but to me....they might as well've been gold.} I can see potential in a rusty tin veggie can or even a scrap piece of wood. I see potential in things all around me, and I especially love the challenge of finding new uses for things, anything other than their intended purpose. Makes me feel like I'm giving it a second life, it's full potential, a life it truly dreams of. ;)
My second, but equally loved passion would be photography. I love the simple moments that most would deem insignificant. It's a great feeling to freeze time for families so they can reminisce those moments one day. This has been my oldest, longest love. My mom purchase my first Minolta 35mm camera from a pawn shop and I've never looked back. I see life through a square and I love every pixel of it.
These things make me happy, but this guy still has my heart. I've been married since June 2012 and I still look at this man the same as the day I met him in 2008, with stars in my eyes. I don't guess there will ever come a time when I won't see him this way. Such is love. I owe this man my happiness as he lets me be free as a bird when it comes to all things crafty. I still get crazy looks when I over-excitedly share this vision that I had in my head of some far fetched idea that I want to build or redo. Only now have I proven that where my ideas may seem "far out there", they usually turn out pretty awesome! He gets me, truly gets me.
What it all comes down to is: I love to create, share, and inspire. I hope you enjoy this look into my crafty life. Feel free to email me if you have questions or comments! You can also stalk me on Pinterest here!
